Protecting Our Community Since Day One
From emergency response to fire safety education, the Camp Lejeune Fire Department stands as the first line of defense for our community — around the clock, every day of the year.
Every service we provide is grounded in one commitment: the safety and resilience of the people who call Camp Lejeune home.
Rapid, coordinated response to structure fires, vehicle accidents, hazardous material incidents, and medical emergencies — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Proactive fire code enforcement, building inspections, and risk assessments that identify hazards before they become emergencies — keeping families and facilities safe.
Fire safety workshops, school outreach programs, and public demonstrations that empower residents — especially children and veterans — with life-saving knowledge.
Free smoke detector installations, home safety evaluations, and emergency preparedness planning for military families and civilian residents on base.
Specialized rescue operations including vehicle extrication, confined space rescue, and water rescue — supported by highly trained personnel and modern equipment.
Hazardous materials response, environmental containment, and specialized incident command — safeguarding both the installation and surrounding communities.
The Camp Lejeune Fire Department serves one of the largest Marine Corps installations in the United States. Based at 18 McHugh Boulevard, our department protects thousands of service members, their families, and civilian personnel who call this base home.
Our firefighters and emergency responders train continuously — preparing for everything from routine medical calls to complex structural fires and hazardous material incidents. Every shift, every call, every response reflects the same standard of excellence that defines the Marine Corps.
Beyond emergency response, we are deeply invested in prevention and education. We believe the best emergency is the one that never happens — and we work every day to make that belief a reality for our community.
"To protect life, property, and the environment through courageous action, professional excellence, and unwavering commitment to the Camp Lejeune community."
Our department is more than emergency responders — we are neighbors, mentors, and guardians of a community built on service. From youth fire safety camps to veteran support initiatives, we extend our mission far beyond the siren.
We uphold the highest standards of honesty, accountability, and ethical conduct in every interaction and operation.
Constant training, rigorous drills, and modern equipment ensure we are prepared for any challenge that arises.
Every action we take is guided by a genuine desire to serve — whether responding to a call or preventing one.
